We love connecting with folks!
Connect With Us On Social Media
One of the ways we like to connect with Jesus, our congregation, and the community, is to write about our experiences here at Hope. Our Voices is Hope's blog contributed by various members of Hope -- Pastor Bill, Kendyll Opel (Youth Group Leader), Sarah Walles (Praise Team Leader & Pastor Bill's wife), and other members of our congregation.
But if I am not worthy of possessing such a gift, then why am I here? Why are we all here? Doesn't God want us to spread the Word in whatever way we can? I think yes. We all have our own special way of sharing what is possible through Jesus Christ.
God's spirit in us won't ever waver. His light will never dim. His light will never go out.
In some ways I wish I was Peter so I could have seen first-hand the miracles Jesus has showed us so I wouldn't have wasted all that time worrying and doubting.
And Jesus said, "Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more."
One thing we learned is that in every relationship God should be involved. That being said, each of us got a lot closer to God through eachother. I see God through all of our group.
And that's where Jesus comes in. Jesus doesn't think we're unworthy. Jesus doesn't think we don't belong. Jesus went out of his way to make sure we would all belong! And the only thing he asks for in return is our Faith.
I admit I don't pray on a regular basis. And shamefully, it oftentimes becomes a priority during times of struggle. Or in times of despair. Or in times of need. Why is it that when we are in need, that is when prayer seems to move to the front of our priorities?
There are so many people who see God as someone you have to please, and please perfectly. There’s this idea that if we get everything right, if we follow the right rules, and do the right things, that this is how God loves us. This is what gets us into heaven.
Join us this Sunday as we baptize one of the cutest babies you're ever going to see!
Day 1 of Dalmatians camp was amazing! Really fun dancing we're doing this year. Bet you can't wait to see it yourself on Friday :)
